Coca-Cola's 100th Anniversary

2012 was the 100th year anniversary of Coca-Cola in the Philippines. As one of the leading art directors, I was tasked with creating the logo of the 100 years campaign which was put on every bottle, can, billboard, and TV commercial.

I worked on campaigns from start to finish, beginning with the brainstorm and ideation phase, to pitching concepts to client for approval, and then directing final production of materials at photo and TV shoots.

Bottle-cap Billboard

The 100 years logo was used to create a billboard made out of tens of thousands of bottle-caps to thank the people of the Philippines for 100 years of happiness. The bottle-cap billboard was the first of its kind in the Philippines, and made headlines in many local advertising magazines.

President for Happiness

For the 100th year anniversary celebration, the problem was to create a campaign that lives up to long lasting legacy of Coca-Cola, and that would last for another 100 years. The solution was to give the 100th year celebration to teens, and appointed a teenager to be the President for Happiness in 2012.

Concert of the People

The end of 2012 was celebrated with a free music festival that anyone could attend. I designed the flyers, tickets and passes, stage banners, provided visuals for the stage background, designed out-door experiences for attendees, and lastly, I worked on a massive 3D projection on a 12 story building that told a visual story of 100 years of Coca-Cola in the Philippines.

Coca-Cola Christmas

Christmas is one of the most important days in Filipino culture. For Coca-Cola’s 100th year celebration, our team created a TV campaign that shows the “happiness perspective” characteristic of the Filipino people to see the better side of things.

The OFW Project

OFW stands for "overseas Filipino worker", and refers to Filipinos who leave their families to work abroad to send money back home. The OFW project tells a heartwarming story of how Coca-Cola brought back 3 OFWs to surprise their families on Christmas. The campaign won many accolades at local advertising awards.

Coke Mismo

In Tagalog, mismo means "that's right". That's the spirit we coined for Coca-Cola's new 300 mL bottle, the small design makes it easy to carry anywhere.
